Why Harriet Tubman Deserves A Monument In Washington D.C.Harriet Tubman deserves a monument in Washington DC. Harriet Tubman was an African American Slave woman who helped free many slaves. According to http://www.pbs.org “During a ten-year span she made 19 trips into the South and escorted over 300 slaves to freedom. And, as she once proudly pointed out to Frederick Douglass, in all of her journeys she "never lost a single passenger." She worked in the Underground Railroad which was a system of tunnels underground tunnels where fugitive slaves could hide and escape to the north. She was a conductor of the underground railroad she would hide herself and other slaves. She deserves a monument because she could have lived a free life by herself but she risked her life to save other slaves. She influenced a lot of people. According to http://www.black-history-facts.com “She has served as an inspiration and role model for numerous generations of African-Americans as they struggled for their civil rights.” She influenced many civil rights advocates such as Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, James Chaney and many more. Although she was a christian she rejected the New Testament when it said “Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ,” Ephesians 6:5. She believed that blacks were just as important as whites, she also believe that women were just as important as men. According to http://www.harriet-tubman.org/women-rights-suffrage/. “After the Civil War Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Canton and Harriet Tubman had become strong advocates and leaders of the women’s rights movement.” She was also a spy and a nurse during the civil war. According to http://www.americaslibrary.gov “During the Civil War, Tubman worked for the Union army as a nurse, a cook, and a spy. Her experience leading slaves along the Underground Railroad was especially helpful because she knew the land well.” She helped the Union during the civil war by leading groups of men through fields and land because she knew the land well, she was also a nurse and a cook for the Union. It was even harder for her to guide soldiers and slaves because she couldn’t read or write. According to http://kids.nationalgeographic.com “born a slave, had a debilitating illness, and was unable to read or write. Yet here was this tough woman who could take charge and lead men.” In the book Moses she claims that her map to the north was the northern star. She was nicknamed Moses of her people. In relation to Moses of Egypt who lead the Jews to a Land of Promise. She also had many health problems because her master hit her in the head with a metal bar and that damaged her head and she constantly passed out without being tired. If we are willing to give Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King for playing a huge role for civil rights then we should give Harriet Tubman a memorial for playing a big role in civil rights and women's rights. She could lead slaves and soldiers with many health problems and she couldn’t read or write so she had a disadvantage but she still came through with making a difference in many people's lives. “A tree is identified by it’s fruit.” My interpretation of this quote is that for example if a child was acting very immature and was causing a ruckus then that must mean the parent didn’t raise the child very good. A good tree will have good fruit and a bad tree will have bad fruit. By that I mean if the child is good then you would expect the parent to be a good person because they would be concerned for the child and want what is best so they punish them for wrong, and if the child is bad then you would expect the parent to be a bad person because they would not have put the time in their child to teach them right from wrong. The parent is defined by the child, if the child is bad then the parent is bad. This is similar to what we have to do at school with all the testing. What the student score on the test shows how well the teachers teach. They say it is not fair to get labeled for the work ethic of the students, but in fact it's very fair because this stops the teacher from being lazy and if we do poorly on the test then it is the teacher's fault for not putting enough time into the students. Although they say that they should not be judged on the student's work ethic and how it is not fair but it's very fair because if they are good teacher then the work ethic shouldn’t matter because a student can put little time into the work and can still get good grades. It’s fair because it’s not the work effort that matters it’s how much the information you remember. The teacher is defined by the students is perfectly relatable to the tree is defined by the fruit. You can’t expect a bad tree with good fruit is like saying you expect to be good at a sport if you don't practice. FBI IPhone EsseyDo you want to wake up and check your email and know that anything you say can and will be recorded? If we lose our phone we lose some of our freedom. Tracking our phones isn’t the only way to be safe. We need facts not “maybe”s. America is the land of freedoms.Apple should not help the FBI hack iPhones. If we lose our phone we lose some of our freedom. According to Randall G. Holcombe and Whitt Flora “Basic American rights were at stake, and the purpose of law is to protect people’s rights. The government has no right to force anybody to involuntarily provide it services.” If we give them our phones they would watching us every minute, think of how much time people spend on their phones, and think of how many pictures people take nowadays. They can see everything we are doing, they might not care but it's the fact that they know everything we do. If they track our phones we wouldn’t have freedoms. The fourth amendment says “the right of the people to be secure in their persons and houses against unreasonable searches and seizures" If anything they are already tracking us, they keep record of anything we search and all of our social media think of how easy it is to look someone up on the internet and figure out their name and address. Do you want to wake up and check your email and know that anything you say can and will be recorded? If that’s the case then we no longer have freedom of speech. Tracking our phones isn’t the only way to be safe. According to Randall G. Holcombe and Whitt Flora “Authorities in EU countries believe Islamic terrorist cells have mushroomed across Europe — ready to commit more horrendous acts as they receive orders from their controllers in the Middle East and North Africa.” If the FBI is saying they want to prevent terrorists that is good for our country, but how do we know who are the terrorists. They can’t say because you are a certain religion then you are a terrorist. People have a right to believe any religion they please. If we block them off because they are a certain religion then we no longer have freedom of religion. Yes there are terrorists but there are other ways to prevent them for example with 9/11 we could provide better security, better background checks, and I’m sure we could find more ways to prevent terrorists other than our phones. We need facts not “maybe”s. According to Randall G. Holcombe and Whitt Flora “Our political leaders have been slow to heed those warnings, they are starting to realize that what could be World War III has already started. It will not end until we eliminate the tens of thousands of fanatics eager to perpetrate atrocities based on hoary 14th century religious decrees” We can't “eliminate” people simply because they are a certain color or religion. We can’t deport all the legal immigrants simple because of their heritage. We shouldn’t hack a phone because of a “could” it’s like saying I’m going to sell all my stuff because my neighbor got robbed and I “could” get robbed. The FBI is jumping to conclusions so fast, they are basing this entire argument on a “could”. Apple should not help the FBI hack iPhones. Personally I wouldn’t care if the FBI tracked my phone, but once we give them our phones they will want more. Soon we won’t be able to watch TV without someone watching us, after that they would want gun control, then they would track our cars and put a tracking device on it, where would it end. By tracking our phones they are taking away our freedom of speech because we can no longer say what we want without someone knowing. The reason our government works so well is because of free will, rights, and freedoms. We would also lose freedom of religion if the government decided to take information based on religion. You take our phones then you take our rights, freedoms, and free will. Our forefathers wanted this country to be a land of freedoms, if they track our phones we are no longer a land of freedoms. I'm an Expert on Drawing and Shading“If I could say it in words there would be no reason to paint.” -Edward Hopper. Art goes all the way back to 30,000 to 10,000 B.C. Learning to draw and shade is less complex than it seems. Learning to draw and shade has a lot of benefits. Art is simple, has lots of benefits, and has been here forever, you can’t look over your shoulder without seeing art. Art goes all the way back to 30,000 to 10,000 B.C. According to http://www.scholastic.com/browse/article.jsp?id=3753864 “The earliest known drawings date from 30,000 to 10,000 B.C. They were found on the walls of caves in France and Spain. Other examples of early drawing are designs that were scratched, carved, or painted on the surfaces of primitive tools. Ancient Egyptians decorated the walls of their temples and tombs with scenes of daily life.” http://www.cultivatingculture.com/2013/10/31/contemporary-cultural-questions- how -will-technology-continue-to-influence-art/ “Graphic design. Art applications. Social media. Art blogs. Computer-generated paintings. Photoshop. Digitally created music. E-books. 3D Printing. 3D Scanning. 3D Hacking. These are just a few examples from a rapidly growing list of ways that technology is influencing art and, for our purposes, culture.” Art has helped keep track of time, without art we might not know some things. We may not know anything about the Egyptians, they painted their everyday lives on the walls in Egypt. I think that art on a computer isn’t really art at all because, all my drawings have meaning, and purpose. Anyone can draw on a computer but I think real art takes emotion, time, and thought. There are some benefits to computer art. It is simple and you can easily undo something and change anything you want. The world today depends on technology for everything, computers are the future and are taking away jobs. I believe computer art is necessary and useful, but I think computers are taking away the real meaning of art. Even Edward Hoppper quoted- If I could say it in words there would be no reason to paint. Real art takes precision and the tiniest detail can make a big difference. Learning to draw and shade is less complex than it seems. According to http://www.howtodrawit.com/ “This means press lightly, and only barely fill in areas that need shading. Leave the very brightest parts of the drawing white. Or, use an eraser to remove the pencil and make a highlight or reflection. Refer back to your subject frequently to compare it with your drawing.” Start off drawing the basic, draw very softly so if you mess up you can erase easily. Draw the general shape of whatever you are trying to draw. Then gently filling in your shape, when you are certain what you want then fill in darker. Add some definition, make your drawing look 3D by shading the further away stuff darker, and the closer stuff lighter. Don't ever press hard on the surface just layer the color over and over. When you have most of it finished then darken your areas for more definition, and add any extra detail you feel is desired. Learning to draw and shade has a lot of benefits.“Artists are known to be better observers and exhibit better memory than non-artists...A study from the University of Westminster found that participants' stress levels decreased after a lunchtime visit to an art gallery. Participants self-reported their stress levels before entering the gallery and then spent 35 minutes exploring the space in any way they wanted. Upon exiting, they expressed being less stressed... producing visual art improved psychological resilience and increased brain activity.” I mainly look at drawing and shading as a hobby and I find it very peaceful, but I guess some benefits of learning how to shade would be if you wanted a career in arts or theatre then this could be helpful. Or if one day you want to design a house or remodel something then you would need to draw out how you want to remodel your house. It also makes you pay more attention to detail and you will have better memory and it increases brain activity. It may not seem very important considering many school are trying to take art away, in a way they are reducing the kids brain activity and increasing their stress, but it has been here forever and it has lots of benefits for the brain. Art has been here for a very long time and has given us so much. Who wouldn't want better memory, less stress, and more brain activity? Some people think it is very complex but if you think about all you're doing is moving your pencil on a piece of paper. It may not seem very important considering many school are trying to take art away, but it has been here forever and it has lots of benefits for the brain, in a way you are reducing kids brain activity when you take away art. Art is advancing to the computer age, giving us animated shows and movies, making ads, posters and more. Artists aren’t just people with nothing to do, they are dreamers, creators, they see things. Art is simple, has lots of benefits, and has been here forever, you can’t look over your shoulder without seeing art. If you had fame and fortune you would get to experience a lot of things. Although having fame and fortune seems great there has to be a downside. Privacy and criticism is a small price to pay for fame and fortune. Having fame and fortune will give you once in a lifetime experience. If you had fame and fortune you would get to experience a lot of things. According to Scope Magazine, “amazing perks, like free clothes from top designers, front-row seats at prestigious award shows, and trips around the world.” You could afford really nice houses, you would never have to struggle with money, you would get to see a lot of things that most people don't get to, you get to attend award shows, you could afford anything you wanted, and people will care about how you feel and what you say. You would get once in a lifetime experience, and you would get to meet a lot of people. If you were famous then everyone would know who you were and your opinion would matter to the world. People would care about how you felt had what you had to say and what you did. Although having fame and fortune seems great there has to be a downside. According to Scope Magazine, “it brings an enormous amount of stress...famous people can’t so much as walk their dogs or tie their shoes without being gawked at, photographed, or tweeted about” There is a lot of stress for celebrities because there would always be someone watching you. You wouldn’t get much privacy considering people would be taking pictures of you if you are doing something as simple as shopping. There would also be a lot of criticism and people will try and make you feel threatened. Privacy and criticism is a small price to pay for fame a fortune. If you decide you want to be famous then you have to realize that along with fame comes lack of privacy. Once you make a commitment there is no getting out of it. You shouldn’t blame anyone for your lack of privacy you chose to be famous and when you chose to be famous you have to give up some of your privacy. You would have fewer worries. According to Scope Magazine, “She earns more money from one movie than most people make in a lifetime.” Imagine never having to cut back on something you wanted, and helping you family survive financially, and traveling the world, and being able to afford people to clean your house, take care of your kids, you would never have to worry about diseases because you would have enough money to take care of anything. You would never have to worry about money, family problems, domestic problems, and more. People think that fame and fortune isn't that great because it's easier to find the problems instead of the benefits. I think that privacy and criticism is a small price to pay for having fame and fortune. I wouldn’t mind if someone said they didn’t like my hair if it meant I got to travel and never had to worry about money for the rest of my life. I wouldn’t mind a little stress if it meant I could attend award shows or get free clothes from top designers. Fortune can get rid of lots of your problems. You would get once in a lifetime experience if you were famous. Winter BreakI spent the first half of Christmas break doing some last minute shopping. I had to do a lot of last minute shopping because everything is on sale before Christmas. I remember exactly what I got everyone. I got my little sister a my life doll(because I broke her other one), I got my little brother a lego set, I got my mom some fancy perfume, and I got my dad this movie he wanted. I wouldn't have been able to afford my little sister gift if it wasn’t on sale. Although everything is on sale before Christmas my mom refuses to take me to black Friday, because she says there are too many people there and we would waste more time in line then we would shopping. Instead of going to a store we shopped online where everything was still on sale, it was just like going to a store but without waiting in line, to many people, and driving. I only wanted one thing for Christmas. The only thing I ever ask for on Christmas is money, because if I tell people that I want boots then they don’t know what kind or what color or if they will fit my feet right. My little sister got me a movie, my mom got me a t-shirt, and there were others, but the only family member that got me exactly what I wanted was my uncle. He shook my hand and said “Merry Christmas” and dropped a $20 bill in my hand. Although my parents say it’s rude to ask for money I don’t know what else to tell people. I was stuck babysitting on New Year's Eve. All my friends were out doing something on New Year's Eve but I had to babysit my siblings because my parents had plans. I honestly didn’t enjoy it at all considering my baby brother was sick, but they couldn’t find anyone else to watch them. My parents left at around 6pm and didn’t come home until everyone was asleep. During that time my little brother just played on his tablet and my little sister just watched a movie while I had to take care of my baby brother who was sick. It took forever to get my baby brother asleep but by the time he was asleep I could barely keep my eyes open. I never was the type of person to stay up and watch the countdown or watch the ball drop I don’t know why it just was never my thing. I don’t even feel different at the start of a new year I just think the 2nd semester is almost over. I guess the worst part of it was thinking of all my friends out having fun and I’m stuck babysitting. I didn’t even get paid for babysitting, not that I expected to get paid. Career EsseyI was always told to pick a career that I love, that way I can wake up every morning and be happy. This year I got to help design mine and my little brother’s room, and that was one of the best parts about my summer. I’m getting mostly B’s and a couple A’s and C’s. I am working hard at not daydreaming in class, and not putting my studies off until the end. When I grow up I want to be an interior designer. There are many things I need to improve on if I plan to become an interior designer. According to academyart.com/edu “Licensure requires passing a state-approved exam, typically the National Council for Interior Design Qualification exam. To qualify for taking the NCIDQ exam students must have a combination of education and experience, typically the minimum of a bachelor's degree and two years on-the-job training.” I’m not that good of a student, but then again I could be worse. One thing that I really want to change is participating in class more. I also keep telling myself that I need to stop daydreaming in class. One habit that I need to change is putting things off to the very end and turning assignments in late. I want to become an interior designer because I enjoy designing and art is a big part of my life. According to freeshome.com/2016 “It’s Not About Your Style, It’s About Theirs. While designers can offer their clients a wide range of design styles to choose from, it is important to remember that it is up to the clients to choose what style suits them best. Just because designers are educated and have good taste does not make their choices superior to their clients. The interior designer’s job is to offer a variety of styles and direct the client toward the right design choice while allowing the client to feel in charge.” During the summer my mom had a baby, so we had to make room for my new baby brother. With the help of my grandma and my aunt we planned out exactly how and where we were going to put up a separation between the 2 bedrooms. Everyone got new beds, a new closet, new night stands, and I even got to help my grandma paint mine and my little brother’s room. One thing that I loved most about that project is that I got to chose how I wanted my room, and what I felt was appropriate for my little sister and brother. Although lots of people gave me suggestions I made most of the decisions. I know what to expect if I want to be an interior designer. According to Shelley Little “Statistics show that the median salary of an entry-level interior designer in the U.S. is $42,380 per year...A successful interior designer is a people pleaser and a mitigator someone who can steer clients toward a favorable outcome while making them feel they are in full control of the design choices. As mentioned above, an amazing designer portfolio will certainly help you land jobs. An interior designer needs creativity, imagination and artistic flair good communication and listening skills good color sense and an eye for detail an aptitude for illustration and technical drawing” I am prepared for what skills you will need to become an interior designer because I know what I have to say to my mom to get what I want so I believe I can talk to people about their style and have both of us satisfied. I could easily look from another person's point of view and know what they would want me to do. According to www.innovatorsguide.org/interior_designer “Employment is expected to grow faster than average. An average salary for an interior designer is usually between $40,000 and $50,000 per year.” Interior designers are not in demand but maybe that will change by the time I graduate. The pay for an interior designer is about $42,000 a year. I could see myself very happy in the future if I became an interior designer, because the I can meet the expectations, and art and designing is a big part of my life. When I grow up I want to be an interior designer. Career DayHillary Clinton will prepare us for the future because she believes every child deserves a good education not matter where they come from. Hillary Clinton has seen all the mass shootings and wants to prevent that by having more gun control. Donald Trump want to build a wall between America and Mexico and doesn't want diversity, Hillary Clinton wants immagrants because our country was built on our differences. This is why America should vote for Hillary Clinton as our next president. Hillary Clinton wants collage to be free, so even those who cannot afford a good education can have one."While not every college needs to graduate every student debt-free, every kid needs a debt-free option—a strong public university where it’s possible to get a great education without taking on loads of debt,"-Hillary Clinton. America should vote for Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton wants to raise minimum wage and have equal pay for men and women, she wants the wealthy to pay more and the poor to pay less and she wants to keep welfare because there are families struggling to pay bills. “I believe that we should raise minimum wage and we need to have equal pay for men and women”-Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton says it is very hard for many Americans to have enough money to pay for everything, but she says she is not for Obama care. She says that she doesn't like the idea of having Obama care, but she doesn't think she can easily get rid of it because she said it would be very hard for many Americans to get off of Obama care. Hillary Clinton wants more gun control. Many Americans are saying Hillary Clinton is trying to take away their guns, no she has looked at all the mass shooting and wants more control over guns. She only wants what is best for our country which is better background checks for people want to buy and sell guns, and if she does that then there is a possibility that there will be less mass shootings. Many people in our region don’t like Hillary Clinton because they think she will take away their guns, but if you have never been involved with mass shooting then you do not need to worry because she will only have better background checks you will still be able to buy and sell guns as long as you have a good background. Donald Trump wants to build a wall between Mexico and the United States. "A nation without borders is not a nation. There must be a wall across the southern border and Mexico must pay for the wall”-Donald Trump. Our countries was built on our differences. This is why America is called the melting pot because we have so many different cultures in our country. Without diversity what are we? Donald Trump doesn't want people coming into this country from different parts of the world he is clearly stating that he doesn't want diversity for our country. In our constitution is says all men are created equal and if Donald Trump builds a wall that clearly means they don’t deserve freedom in our country, they don’t deserve a set future, and they are not as important as us. Although there are many people illegal immigrants some of those illegal immigrants are working to get there greencard and Donald Trump wants to send them back before they have a chance to become an American citizen. Also deportation of families and splitting up families will only hurt our country more because a large percent of our country are people from different countries, we will be losing a lot of people if Donald Trump becomes our president. In conclusion Hillary Clinton is a better candidate than Donald Trump because Hillary Clinton will prepare us for the future by giving every child the same opportunities. Hillary Clinton is also helping the low-income family survive by keeping welfare for those who need it. Although Donald Trump doesn't want immigrants in America, Hillary Clinton supports immigration because she believes in America we should have different cultures and it shouldn't matter where you come from. That is why America should vote for Hillary Clinton as our next president. In my opinion they should not add a tax on sugary drinks. Many people are having troubles with diabetes, obesity, and tooth decay, but there are some people who drink an appropriate amount of sugary drinks. “The national fight over sugary soda is bubbling up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where voters in November will consider a tax on the drinks that many health experts say contribute to diabetes, obesity and tooth decay.” Even though many have troubles with diabetes, obesity, and tooth decay you shouldn’t add a tax because if you neighbor gets in a car accident should you have to pay for it? No, just because some people can’t control themselves you shouldn’t punish everyone. Also adding a tax will not change anything. We tried adding a tax on cigarettes and people still continue to buy them. The only thing adding a tax will do is hurt small businesses and waste everyone's money. Although the tax is not very much it is still a bad idea because if we add a tax on something only because it has a lot of sugar then people will think there are things way worse than soda and soon we will add a tax on those things, then before you know it we are spending $100 on groceries a day. As an individual I don't mind if they add a tax on pop. I don't drink pop I honestly don't like pop, because I don't like the carbonation, and I think it's too sweet but that’s my personal opinion, but I still don't think it's fair for them to add a tax on sugary drinks because it will hurt many people and small businesses I care about small businesses because I live in an area with a lot of small businesses. 1A.naive-showing a lack of experience(adjective) B.I would be a bad mechanic, because I don't have a lot of experience so I would be naive. Screenflow helps with making tutorials on how to make a website or how to do stuff on a computer, it can record what you are doing on your computer screen and it can record your voice and it can record you. The Screenflow user can do many things with Screenflow such as zoom in on part of the video add a text box, add a callout, add music, add an annotation, and more. In my Screenflow I used annotations to show the viewer what I was clicking on incase it was too little for them to see. Another tool I used was a callout, I used a callout to let the viewer have a better understanding of what I am trying to show them and teach them about Screenflow. While I was editing my video I saw some mistakes I made so I split a clip and cut out the part of the video that I didn’t want. In the beginning of my video I added music in the background by downloading it they putting the music in the Screenflow media, then drag and drop it and cut out parts of the song I didn’t want. Screenflow is something everyone should learn how to use not only as a student but as an adult. For example if you wanted to teach people how to build a website you could use screenflow, or if you wanted to show people how to do anything on your computer you could use screenflow because screenflow records everything you say and everything you do on your computer screen. It also can record you, but at the same time it can record you voice and what’s on your computer screen. Learning how to use Screenflow can be very helpful in many ways because lots of people will look on youtube how to solve a problem they have and Screenflow can help you make videos like that and how to understand videos like that. My hero,Grace Lin, was born in 1949. She is my mom's mom. She has 3 kids, 2 daughters, and 1 son. She owned a electronics shop for about 30 years, after that she retired. She lived in Taiwan most of her life but after she retired she moved in with my uncle because in Taiwan the tradition is after your parents cannot take care of themselves it is the oldest son's responsibility to take care of them in return for their parenting. Although she passed away in May of 2014. She was considerate, generous, warm-hearted and so much more. She is my hero because she never had much schooling as a kid because her adopted parents needed her help at home. She only went to school for 4 years but as an adult, she made lots of money because she figured out how to work a business and she owned a electronics shop and was very successful. Her and my grandpa both made lots of money owning a electronics shop and could afford to send their kids to the best schools in Taiwan. They also had enough money to pay for my mom and aunt to come to America to study teaching, and for my uncle to go to Japan to become a doctor. She gave her kids the best because she remembered what her childhood was like and she wanted nothing like that for her kids. She was always helping people even when she did not have to, she helped my uncle raise his kids. Since my aunt works at the same place my uncle works she is gone most of the day, so my grandma helped cook and clean and took care of the house even though she did not receive anything. She could have said it is my uncle responsibility to take care of her and she should be resting as an elderly, but she didn't because she wants to help as much as she can. When I say help I don't mean she gave her kids money for whatever they wanted, I mean she made sure when she gave them money she knew where it was going to and only for things that are needed. For example sending them to the best schools, hiring a tutor when they needed one, helping my uncle raise his kids, buying 3 houses for her kids in case of an emergency. I know that if I was ever needed help I could call her and she would be here in a blink. She isn't my hero because I want my life to be like hers, she is my hero because she came from nothing and gave her kids a great life and she was very courteous of others. She taught me it's not what you comes from that determines your future it's how hard you're willing to work for it. I remember when I was in 3rd grade I got a B for the first time and I was really upset about it and she told me I was lucky I can actually go to school my whole childhood. Without her my uncle might not be a doctor, my mom and aunt might not be a teacher, she doesn't get as much as she deserves but she all she cares about it is helping people. During the summer I was either playing softball or volleyball or spending time with family and friends. From June to the middle of July I was doing softball and all August I have volleyball practice. In between softball and volleyball I was doing something with friends and family. I got to go to skyzone with my cousin Autumn and Shelby. I also got to go camping with Kailee and some of my step dads friends. I went to Kalahari with my cousin Maycie, but one thing that I loved the most was that I got to spend more time with my new baby brother.
One of my short term goals for middle school is to get all A’s and B’s, one thing that I’m going to do is stop daydreaming in class and to study more at home. My best subject would be science or health, and my worst subject would be math. Even though science and health are my best subjects I still want to do better in both classes, in science I’m going to use my packet more. To improve my grade in health I’m going to use my book more often. Since math is my worst subject I need to work on turning in homework on time paying more attention in class and study outside of school. One of my high school goals is to graduate with a GPA of 3.7 or higher. One thing I will do to reach that goal is get all my homework finished a soon as possible. I will also as a teacher if I don’t understand something in class. My goal for college is to get good grades and to open up my social circle more. One thing I will do to reach that goal is to talk to more people and be more accepting. To help me get good grades in high school I will see what helped the most for me in high school and do something similar in college. I will also try to stay organized so I don’t lose assignments.

You need to work on the use of your commas - you have a few comma splices which is the incorrect use of commas
